Destiny, NY: Start With Volume One
Magic is ordinary. Finding your next chapter is harder.
Destiny, NY is a fantasy graphic novel by writer Pat Shand and artist Manuel Preitano. Its central question is surprisingly human: what comes next when the thing you were meant to do is already behind you?
What is Destiny, NY about?
In this version of New York City, magic belongs to everyday life. Logan McBride fulfilled a childhood prophecy at thirteen. As an adult, she is still figuring out who she wants to become beyond that achievement. The series brings together personal reinvention, relationships and a city where the supernatural is part of the landscape.
The appeal is the space between a spectacular backstory and the practical work of living afterward. If you enjoy character-led fantasy, complicated relationships and a New York setting, this is a useful place to begin exploring the series.
